Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show 2010 weeks 2&3

We had a fabulous hunter jumper horse show this year. We did have our traditional thunder storms, but most of the really bad stuff came at the end of the day. Thanks again for all Burr Collier’s hard work putting the show together, and all our wonderful volunteers. Linda and I helped pass out food when we weren’t too busy consuming it ourselves.

All of our Vendors and Concessions were a big hit as always, and I have tried to include contact info for them where I could. (Light Blue names should take you to their websites).

Thanks also to my wonderful step mother, Diane Tate, (even though she keeps beating me at golf) and my loving Father LP Tate, for attending and showing us a very good time. I’m sure my Grandfather LM Tate, who founded the horse show, is smiling down on us from above.

Blowing Rock's 4th of July parade last Saturday

Blowing Rock's 4th of July Parade Saturday was picture perfect. The weather held out nothing but sunshine all day long. Blowing Rock Gallery of Homes & Land gave away cookies and lemonaid. Many flatlanders came up for the weekend to escape the heat. Kids of all ages mingled and had a great time. We finished up the day at the Blowing Rock Country Club picnic and fireworks display. We love living in Blowing Rock!

BLOWING ROCK'S NEW SWIMMING POOL IS UP AND DUMPING!
I dropped by our new town pool today and it's obviously a big hit. There is a spiral slide, fountains that fill up cone shaped buckets and then dump on top of patient kids waiting to get soaked. There is also a new picnic area and rest facilities. Next time you get a chance, check it out.

LIFE IS GOOD ON SUNSET DRIVE

Linda and Zach are settling in nicely to their new Real Estate home at 159 Sunset Drive next to the Mellow Mushroom, Blowing Rock Gallery of Homes and Land.
We can't believe it's June already, but we sure are glad it is! Normally that means more people which means more Buyers. It's hard to resist the charm of our mountains and community. We tell all our clients, it's really not the scenery, it's the people that makes our home so special.

We have such a good time showing people the best places to hike, swim, eat, sleep, and push the boundaries of a really good evening, that sometimes we forget we are supposed to be selling Real Estate.
